WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION:
This presentation will provide a brief history of the LGBTQ+ community and offer basic education to attendees. We will discuss what LGBTQ+ stands for, explore topics such as gender, pronouns, sexual orientation, the Holocaust, Stonewall, HIV/AIDS, marriage equality, important dates, and available resources.

Tools for Crafting Your Academic Journey for Personal Success
WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION:
The purpose of this workshop is to be aware of different paths and opportunities you can pursue in your undergraduate journey. We will be discussing opportunities that are unique to the undergraduate experience like study abroad, internships, undergraduate research experience programs, etc. Additionally, we will discuss the importance of motivation and values while goal-setting.

(3) WORKSHOP TITLE:
El Poder de Nuestras Raices. The Power of our Roots.
WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION:
This workshop will give participants basic knowledge of New Mexico Dream Team work and how to fight an oppressive system while also staying grounded in personal values. Participants will also understand the importance of people power and how they can be part of the change by becoming leaders in their community and being the leaders the movement needs.

Essay Essentials: The art of writing a formal essay
WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION:
This workshop will focus on strategies and techniques on how to write a well-organized five paragraph essay in formal speech. Grammar will not be the main focus but will be included in the essay writing process. Attendees will be able to approach writing a formal essay with confidence.

(5) WORKSHOP TITLE:
Coping with Chaos: Stress Resilience Workshop
WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION:
The purpose of this presentation is to bring awareness of the stress factors in college students’ lives, while also implementing tips and tricks on how to manage your stress levels as a college student. The expected outcome of this workshop is to learn how to manage and deal with stress levels, have a broader mindset, and use resources to help balance your first year in college.
