Storytelling in STEM: Connecting Science to Your Life
WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION:
There is a lack of ‘I’ in STEM, whether that is in a report, thesis, or major STEM research project. However, there is significant value to recognize you and your uniqueness in STEM. I plan to discuss the importance of reflecting on personal history and experiences that shape the career decisions that we make. We will cover how to start the conversations of looking deeper by asking family and relatives questions about their history and heritage, and making the connections that have led us to our careers in STEM.
