WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION:
This workshop will be designed to provide both examples of and a framework for different community service projects that CAMP and HEP students, who can engage in their respective communities. Programs from AWC CAMP, UNM CAMP, ASU CAMP, and others will provide detailed examples of different community service events they currently participate in. Events such as the Bandana Project, the Cesar Chavez Blood Drive, Hispanic Chalk Murals, and others will be discussed in detail.

WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION:
This session will explore the importance of undergraduate research as a means for preparation for graduate school. The panel will outline the importance of gaining research experience as a tool to succeed in graduate school and pursuing diverse career paths. Attendees will gain an understanding of undergraduate research opportunities across the country and internationally, and they will capture a basic understanding of the graduate school application process.

Building Your Vision, Shaping Your Future – A Women in STEM Workshop with Vision Board Creation
WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION:
This is a dynamic workshop designed to inspire and empower women in STEM fields. Our purpose is to ignite a passion for STEM and encourage women to persist in their pursuits while actively engaging in inspiring the next generation.Throughout this session, participants will embark on a creative journey, crafting vision boards that serve as visual roadmaps for their future aspirations. We’ll provide an array of materials, from magazine scraps to stickers, allowing attendees to express their dreams vividly. Alternatively, participants can use Pinterest boards for a digital exploration of their goals.

Mapping my path, Authoring my story, Strengthening the leader within
WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION:
This experiential workshop will allow participants to work collaboratively to explore solutions to overcoming barriers to success. As leaders we set many goals for ourselves, but life can often present many obstacles for reaching those goals. What will you do when that happens to you? What will be your plan? How will you adjust your map? Who are the voices that guide you? These are some of the questions we will explore throughout this workshop. As a participant you will be in the driver seat! Be prepared to have lots of fun, map your path, author your story, and strengthen the leader within!
